Poetry Reading: David Ferry and George Kalogeris February 25
Join the Poetry Reading Series for a night of poetry. David Ferry is an acclaimed and award-winning poet and translator. His collection Bewilderment: New Poems and Translations (University of Chicago Press, 2012), won the National Book Award for Poetry. George Kalogeris is the author of Dialogos: Paired Poems in Translation (Antilever, 2012) and of a book of poems, Camus: Carnets (Pressed Wafer, 2006). Compound Fractures at BU’s Boston Playwrights’ Theatre April 5–7 As she approaches her 40th birthday, advertising executive Paige Azzurro is looking for a big change and that’s just what she is about to get. One fateful day after leaving a top secret meeting with the president of a competitive ad agency in New York City, Paige slips off the curb while hailing a cab and fractures more than her leg. Compound Fractures is a play written by Lisa Cocciardi (’89, COM’91) and directed by Thomas Martin (CFA’15). |
