Call for Papers: Conference on Chinese Theologies

The second of three conferences on Chinese Theologies will be held at Yale Divinity School (New Haven, Connecticut) on June 2-4 2021. Scholars are invited to submit abstracts for papers discussing any aspect of theological thought/ individual theologians from a range of non-mainstream churches (i.e. independent Chinese churches or house churches of all denominations, pre- and post- 1949). Negotiating the Good Life in Times of Crisis

This international conference** on the good life will be held in Amsterdam, and it is organized by the Protestant Theological University. The event seeks to create a platform for reflecting together on the good life in the face of the interrelated crises of today’s world. The Central and Eastern European Association for Mission Studies (CEEAMS) is holding their annual meeting on February 23-25, 2021. This year's theme is "Mission Matters: Trends, Challenges, and New Perspectives in Christian Mission in Central and Eastern Europe." Call for Abstracts from the US-China Catholic Association

The US-China Catholic Association is currently accepting paper abstracts for its conference on “China, Christianity, and the Dialogue of Civilizations,” to take place August 6-8, 2021 on the campus of Santa Clara University. The theme of this conference is the engagement between Christianity and Chinese civilization. Call for Submissions: Dictionary of Pentecostal Missions

Robert Gallagher (Wheaton College), Jerry Ireland (University of Valley Forge), and Paul W. Lewis (Assemblies of God Theological Seminary) are organizing a Dictionary of Pentecostal Missions, to be published with T&T Clark. Call For Abstracts: Workshop on Forced Migration & Human Trafficking

The Pardee Initiative on Forced Migration and Human Trafficking, located at Boston University, is issuing a call for abstracts for their upcoming workshop, Mobility, Time and Political Possibilities. The workshop is year-long, running from early 2021 and culminating in an in-person event in early 2022. The group envisages a small but committed group of scholars meeting monthly, in camera, to share and critically engage each other's work-in-progress on a rotating basis. Conference Honoring the Philosophy of Nimi Wariboko

On November 21, Boston University and the University of Texas at Austin are hosting an online conference on "The Philosophy of Nimi Wariboko," covering the major themes of ethics, economy, society, religion, and African social traditions. A prolific author and thinker, Dr. Wariboko is the Walter G. Muelder Professor of Social Ethics at Boston University, as well as a faculty associate at the CGCM. Conference: Catholicism in 20th Century Hong Kong

The Centre for Catholic Studies (CUHK), Kung Kao Po, and Hong Kong Catholic Diocesan Archives are co-sponsoring a virtual conference entitled "The History of the Hong Kong Catholic Church in the 20th Century" from August 4-7, 2020.  The conference brochure includes paper abstracts and lists session themes.
