Personal & professional development
Audit classes at MET
There are many ways alumni can continue their education at Boston University. Metropolitan College offers BU alumni the chance to audit classes for academic enrichment at a discounted rate. Audited classes are neither graded nor count toward college credit and are offered during fall and spring semesters.
If you are 58 or over, you can join the Boston University Evergreen program. Students can audit classes on the Charles River Campus or participate in the specifically designed Evergreen Seminar.
BU Connects
BU Connects BU Connects is a platform exclusively for Boston University alumni, students, faculty, and staff that brings Terriers together for personal and professional networking on a global scale. Within the platform, you can find or post a job, become or find a mentor, connect with other alums based on your region, shared interest or identity, and much more!

Center for Career Development
BU’s Center for Career Development provides a range of services to alumni. From searching for opportunities and posting resumes on Handshake to attending workshops and events or individual appointments, the CCD’s services help you continue to advance your career or plan your next move.
Double Terrier Scholarship
The Double Terrier Scholarship, launched in 2026, is designed to make continuing your academic journey at Boston University more accessible and affordable. If you earned your bachelor’s degree at BU, this scholarship honors your undergraduate work and guarantees a 25 percent award toward eligible master’s programs.
Questrom Professional Development

Innovation Pathway
All BU students and alumni within one year of graduation are eligible to join Innovate@BU’s Innovation Pathway. This self-paced program is designed to help you launch your for-profit or nonprofit venture. Alumni Center at the Castle

Located at 910 Commonwealth Avenue directly across the street from BU’s Fitness & Recreation Center, Boston University Campus Store boasts over 100,000 titles—as well as all the BU swag you could hope for. The bookstore offers hats, shirts, and a range of gifts and clothing geared to every school on the Charles River and BUMC campuses.

With more than two million books, journals, electronic, and other non-print sources, the BU Libraries are ranked 70th out of more than 3,000 libraries in North America. Campus parking
If you’re an alum or member of the BUSRFS and plan to visit the University, you may request in advance to receive a 50% discount validation from posted daily parking rates for use at select BU garages and lots*.
To request an alumni/retiree discount validation, please complete and submit this form a minimum of three business days in advance of your visit to allow for review and approval. Once approved, the requester will receive an email with a validation QR code for use on the date requested.
Please note that the Alumni/Retiree Parking Discount is for alumni and BU retired faculty and staff who are returning to visit campus or the University area.
BU garages and lots that allow for alumni/retiree discount validation use (as well as their restrictions) are as follows:
