The Asia Alumni Forum is a highly anticipated event that brings together BU’s alumni community across Asia and provides a platform for interdisciplinary discussions on some of the most pressing issues facing Asian societies today. This exciting weekend serves as a platform for the alumni community in Asia to exchange ideas, build connections, and foster business relationships across the continent. Through open dialogues and discussions, alumni can gain a deeper understanding of different perspectives and ideas, which can ultimately lead to more innovative and impactful solutions to the challenges facing our world today.
This year’s topics include artificial intelligence (AI), biomedicine, and family business. Additionally, we will be offering an array of exciting activities for attendees to unwind and connect outside the conference room.

About the host city
Shanghai is a city often hailed as the “Pearl of the Orient” for its unique blend of traditional heritage and cutting-edge modernity. As a global hub and cultural melting pot, Shanghai provides the perfect setting for the 2024 Asia Alumni Forum.

Please note that the Wanda Reign on the Bund has been acquired by Marriott Properties and will be renamed St. Regis on the Bund in October.

1. Is there a registration fee for the Forum?
Yes, there is a registration fee of $100, which covers event materials, meals, and access to sessions on Friday and Saturday. Detailed information on fees can be found on the registration page.
2. Can I refund or transfer my ticket after purchase if I am unable to attend the forum?
Unfortunately, your ticket cannot be refunded or transferred.
3. Who can attend the Forum?
All Boston University alumni residing in Asia or those visiting the region during the event are welcome to attend. Current BU students and faculty are also encouraged to participate.
4. Can I bring a guest to the Forum?
Unfortunately, due to limited space, the forum is only open to BU alumni.
5. Will there be opportunities for networking?
Absolutely! The Forum is designed to facilitate networking among BU alumni. There will be dedicated networking sessions, social events, and opportunities to connect with alumni from various industries and backgrounds.
6. What is the dress code for the Forum?
The dress code for the Forum is business casual. We recognize that the Forum takes place on a weekend, and we want you to be comfortable.
7. Will we have any spare time in Shanghai?
Yes! We have left Sunday, November 17 open so that you can explore the city of Shanghai.
8. Can I see who has registered for the event?
Unfortunately, we are not permitted to share attendee information without their permission.
