Undergraduate Final Examinations

Effective July 1, 2026

Undergraduate final examinations on the Charles River Campus are given only during the scheduled examination day and time slot. Instructors may not replace the final examination day and time slot by giving a cumulative final examination during a regular class meeting or during the reading period. Instructors may not have a due date for any graded work during the reading period.

If a student is scheduled for three or more exams within a 24-hour period, which may include two days of the week, the student may request to reschedule the middle exam to another day/time as coordinated between the instructor and student.

Information on non-matrix exams and related conflicts can be viewed on the Office of the University Registrar’s website.

Questions or concerns about this process should be directed to the designated academic dean, or their designee, of the school or college of instruction.
