The Robert F. Meenan Career Development Professorship.
Robert F. Meenan has served as Dean at Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) for the past 22 years. Under Dean Meenan’s leadership, the School has established an impressive presence in the global health field, through an increasingly renowned Department of Global Health and the Center for Global Health & Development. BUSPH has climbed in the rankings, from 16th out of 26 schools, to 11th out of 49 schools: a tremendous accomplishment and testament to Dean Meenan’s guidance.
As this remarkable leader steps down from his post as Dean, please consider making a gift to help establish the Robert F. Meenan Career Development Professorship in honor of Dean Meenan and the incredible impact he’s had on this institution.
The Professorship
A career-development professorship provides a rotating three-year appointment that helps junior faculty kick-start their research careers and scholarly endeavors. Recruiting talented, rising star junior faculty in public health is essential to advancing the school’s standing in the public health community and ensuring that it is conducting research that makes a difference to the public’s health. A career development professorship will do much to enable BUSPH to attract the best and brightest research faculty.
There is an aggressive fundraising goal to make this professorship a reality, but with your help, we can succeed. If the goal is not met, rest assured your donation will still support the talented faculty at BUSPH.
