Reference Services: Live Chat
Welcome to LiveChat, a new service offered by the Pappas Law Library at Boston University School of Law. LiveChat is available to members of the BU community only.
Chat is Live during reference hours.
To use Chat, please first make sure that "Reference is online." Second, please click on "edit nickname," and enter your BU email address as your nickname. This will permit us to email you a transcript of your Chat if you want one. After that, go ahead and type your question. If you have any questions on how to use LiveChat, please ask one of the reference librarians.
For complex questions or for assistance outside of the hours noted above, we recommend that you ask a librarian in person or by phone. Law students working on seminar papers, certification papers, or journal notes are welcome to make an appointment for a research consultation with a reference librarian.
The reference librarians cannot provide any legal advice.
Please note that licenses require that passwords to BU Law licensed electronic resources can be sent only to your BU email address, upon verification of your status as a law student.
