Additional Services for Journal Members
Reference Tech Check Preview
The Tech Check Preview (TCP) service streamlines the cite-checking process by identifying those items that may be difficult to obtain from the Charles River campus libraries. To use this service, please submit materials to jekblaw@bu.edu. A reference librarian will contact the journal to acknowledge receipt.
Full Tech Check Preview (Available only for the Boston University International Law Journal)
Please submit articles, with an electronic table containing footnotes and citations, at least 3 weeks before the article will be assigned to journal members, to dbachman@bu.edu.
In a TCP report, the librarian can: identify BU library resources for some publications, suggest online alternatives to print resources, help to identify sources that may have to be gathered by interlibrary loan (ILL) or that may be difficult to obtain without the author's help, and suggest visits to other libraries for select resources. We recommend focusing on more challenging sources without delay.
Books/Articles ILL Check
Please submit articles, with an electronic table containing footnotes and citations, at least 1 week before the article will be assigned to journal members.
The librarian will identify books and non-law journal articles that need to be obtained through ILL. ILL requests will be directly forwarded to the Circulation department. The journal's designated ILL person will be notified when requested materials are available. If you would prefer another journal member be designated on the ILL requests, please specify when requesting the ILL check.
