Among the Best Schools for Journalism

Colbi Edmonds (COM’23, CAS’23) has been involved almost everywhere on campus, from the editor in chief of the Daily Free Press to anchor on BUTV10 to COM Ambassador to Scarlet Speaker, and much more. Her love of writing and desire to make an impact led her to journalism, specifically print, and a double major in political science, to better understand the world.

At BU COM, you’ll learn journalism by doing it. Use our professional-level newsroom and editing suites. Report in the heart of a top 10 US media market. Learn from Pulitzer winners—or become one. Graduate with more than a degree in journalism—you’ll have the experience, network, and stories of an industry professional.

Hands-on reporting—cover Boston’s neighborhoods, courts, and city hall while building a real portfolio with our degrees for journalism careers. Join our Massachusetts Statehouse program, or jump to Washington, DC for more experience. International opportunities are also available.
