Bio
Sarah Madsen Hardy has been part of the CAS Writing Program faculty since 2004, teaching courses on illness and culture, creative nonfiction, public writing, and writing pedagogy. Her interests include cultural studies, genre theory, and the teaching of writing and information literacy, including critical language awareness and generative AI. She has served as interim director of BU’s Center for Teaching and Learning and as a member the Provost’s Inclusive Pedagogy Working Group, and she has enjoyed mentoring several cohorts of Boston Public School graduates who have earned scholarships to BU through the Boston Scholars Program. She currently serves as director of the CAS Writing Program.
