Biography
José is a PhD candidate in Hispanic Languages and Literatures at Boston University. Originally from Peru, his research focuses on Spanish poets who were exiled to the U.S. in the mid-20th century and the transnational literary networks they helped create. He’s also interested in contemporary poetry, cinema, and trans/queer studies—topics that often inspire his classroom discussions.
