Marie Satya McDonough

Marie Satya McDonough is a Master Lecturer in the CAS Writing Program and in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program. Her teaching and research interests include comics, contemporary literature, queer theory, African American and Indigenous Studies, and inclusive pedagogy. She is the translator of Michel Foucault’s Binswanger and Existential Analysis (Columbia University Press, 2025), of Elisabetta Basso’s Young Foucault: The Lille Manuscripts on Psychopathology, Phenomenology, and Anthropology, 1952–1955 (Columbia University Press, 2022), and of a new edition of Michel Foucault’s Birth of the Clinic (forthcoming from Routledge).
