Graduate Assistantships
Graduate assistantships are part-time positions available for BU Wheelock graduate students. Check with your advisor to make sure that your program allows for the time an assistantship requires. To be eligible, you must be admitted to or currently enrolled in a graduate program at Boston University.

Marketing and Communications Social Media Graduate Assistant
BU Wheelock College of Education & Human Development seeks a graduate assistant to contribute to producing content for the college’s social media channels. The GA will work with the BU Wheelock Marketing & Communications Office to plan and develop content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube, as well as blog posts and other short form content. This position is best suited for someone who is familiar with best practices of producing social media content and is passionate about education and human development. In addition to content creation, there will be an opportunity to contribute to content planning, strategy, and metrics.
Responsibilities
1. Contribute content (writing/photography/video) to BU Wheelock social media channels
(especially Instagram and TikTok)
2. Attend and be an active participant in 1:1 check-in meetings with the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications
3. Attend regular strategy and content development meetings with the BU Wheelock social media team
4. Create and appear in video content that represents the BU Wheelock community
5. Attend BU Wheelock events for the purpose of content creation
Skills
- Strong writing skills
- Experience creating and posting social media content
- Photography/videography experience (preferred)
- Strong ability to work independently
