Summer Preview: Housing & Dining

Residential students

You and your fellow high school students will live together as a community in BU’s Warren Towers residence hall. Located in the heart of campus, Warren Towers consists of three separate towers of dormitory rooms, multiple study areas, and a TV lounge. There are typically two students per room, although some students may also be in singles or triples. Room rates will vary based upon the room type. Young men and women live in separate towers. Please contact us if you’d like to discuss housing arrangements, as our office is committed to creating a safe and welcoming community for all of our students.

Warren Towers has 24-hour security and full-time BU residential staff. Carefully selected program assistants (PAs) also live in the residences and provide students with guidance as they adapt to college life. The PAs coordinate social outings and ensure that students return to the residence before curfew each night.

Warren Towers has air conditioning in some study areas and the TV lounge but not in the dorm rooms or other areas of the building. Dorm rooms can get hot, so we strongly recommend that you bring a fan or buy one when you arrive on campus.

You will eat your meals at The Fresh Food Company at Marciano Commons, a dining hall located a short walk from your dorm. The menu choices include restaurant-style meals, vegetarian and vegan options, freshly made desserts, and so much more. If you have special dietary requirements, please contact us so we can make arrangements to best accommodate you. The dining staff can also assist you if you have food allergies or other dietary restrictions.

You must be 14 years or older by the start of the program to live on campus. All rising eighth graders must commute to Summer Preview.

Commuter students

The Summer Preview program is open to commuters and residential students. Lunch will be provided for commuter students by The Fresh Food Company at Marciano Commons. Commuter students are also invited to attend evening activities, and if you opt to attend these activities, you may purchase dinner in the dining hall.

All commuter students are required to fill out a supplemental Commuter Permission Form and Dining Plan Agreement upon acceptance into one of our programs. These forms can be found in the online enrollment portal.

Note: All rising eighth graders must participate as commuter students.
