SAC Reporting Dashboard Updates
Boston University Sponsored Programs is pleased to announce two important enhancements to our SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) reporting environment designed to improve access to information, strengthen financial oversight, and support data-driven decision-making across the research enterprise.
MyGrants, a reporting tool previously developed specifically for Principal Investigators, is now open to all research faculty and staff with SAC access.
MyGrants provides a streamlined view of grant budget and expenditure information within a specific portfolio, making it easier to quickly assess financial activity without navigating multiple reports. The information contained in this tool continues to be the same information in other SAC grant reports, with less detailed information for easy, quick review.
Sponsored Programs is also excited to announce the launch of IMPACT, a new dashboard designed to provide department administrators and research staff with enhanced visibility into salary expenses on sponsored projects.
IMPACT offers comprehensive reporting and analytical capabilities, including:
- Monitoring salary expenses charged to sponsored projects
- Reviewing key personnel compensation metrics
- Forecasting future salary allocations
- Supporting proactive financial planning and decision-making
As part of this enhancement, the existing Financial Research Expenditure Dashboard (FRED) has been fully integrated into IMPACT. This consolidation provides users with a single location to access salary-related reporting and expenditure data, making it easier to monitor project activity and gain actionable insights.
Both MyGrants and IMPACT require access to SAC Reporting through BUWorks Central. For additional information on requesting access to SAC Reporting, please click here. If you have access to SAC Reporting but are missing MyGrants or IMPACT, please request access by submitting a ticket to the BW Reporting Team.
