NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 24-1)

The revised version of NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 24-1) has been issued and is effective for proposals submitted or due on or after May 20, 2024. You are encouraged to review the by-chapter Summary of Changes to the PAPPG provided on page 2 of the PAPPG and to view NSF’s Webinar on the Updates to the NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) NSF 24-1) which provides a great overview of the updates and changes.

While this version of the PAPPG becomes effective on May 20, 2024, in the interim, the guidelines contained in the current PAPPG (NSF 23-1) continue to apply.

NSF Award Terms and Conditions

The NSF Award Terms and Conditions have been revised for consistency with the updated NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 24-1).

The revised award terms and conditions will be applicable to new NSF awards and funding amendments to existing NSF awards made on or after May 20, 2024. You are encouraged to review the Summary of Changes document associated with each applicable set of terms and conditions.

NSF Grants.gov Application Guide (NSF 24-006)

NSF has published a revised version of the NSF Grants.gov Application Guide (NSF 24-006).  Overall, the Guide has been updated to align with the revisions to NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 24-1). A by-chapter summary of changes is provided at the beginning of the document.

The Guide will be effective for applications submitted (via Grants.gov) or due, on or after May 20, 2024.
