Established in 1950, the University Lecture each year spotlights the outstanding and thought-provoking research and creative work of a Boston University faculty member to the BU community and the general public. This year’s distinguished lecturer is Josephine Halvorson, professor of art and chair of graduate studies in painting in the College of Fine Arts. I hope you will attend what promises to be an engaging lecture and that you will encourage others to take part in this extraordinary University-wide event.
