Storella Reflects on Recent Israel-Hamas Peace Deal
Professor Mark C. Storella was interviewed by NBC10 Boston TV News to share his expert take on the recent Israel-Hamas peace deal. The interview was broadcasted as a part of roundup coverage of the day’s events on October 13, 2025.

Storella stressed that the agreement is a substantial achievement in bringing about a ceasefire, the release of hostages and detainees, and opening the way for desperately needed humanitarian aid in Gaza.
“I think that the Israelis are going to be very careful in seeing reform that they like and the Palestinian authority, but also ensuring that it’s a Palestinian authority that’s not going to be dominated behind the scenes by others who really want violence,” said Storella.
While the ceasefire kindled hope for lasting peace, Storella remained cautiously optimistic. He warned that there are many steps left, and that security will remain a high priority if the plan materializes.
