Brulé Discusses New Book with Women Lead Conversations

Rachel Brulé, Assistant Professor of Global Development Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, was interviewed as part of the Women Lead Conversations series about her latest book Women, Power, and Property: the Paradox of Gender Equality Laws in India

In the discussion, Brulé discusses what motivated her research, the process by which she explore property rights and power dynamics in India, and the key findings of the book. In her book, Brulé seeks to explore the issue of quotas for women in government and their capacity to upend entrenched social, political, and economic hierarchies within the context of India, the world’s largest democracy.
