Karra to Join Editorial Advisory Committee of IPSRH
Mahesh Karra, Assistant Professor of Global Development Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, has been invited to become a member of the Editorial Advisory Committee (EAC) for the journal International Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health.
International Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health is a leading journal in the field of reproductive health and provides the latest peer-reviewed research on sexual and reproductive health in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia. The journal emphasizes abortion; contraception; fertility; sexual behavior; family planning policies and programs; sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS; and reproductive, maternal and child health. The EAC is composed of prominent researchers and other individuals who together have the diversity of backgrounds and expertise to represent the international and cross-disciplinary topics and readership of the journal.
Karra’s academic and research interests are broadly in development economics, health economics, quantitative methods, and applied demography. His research utilizes experimental and non-experimental methods to investigate the relationships between population, health, and economic development in low- and middle-income countries.
