Corgan Speaks at USC Arctic Conference
Michael Corgan, Associate Professor of International Relations at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, spoke at the 2018 University of South Carolina Dornsife Arctic Conference on April 11-12, 2018.
Corgan spoke as part of a panel entitled “National Strategies and Future Arctic Policies,” and his comments focused on Iceland and the Arctic Council. Joining Corgan on the panel were Steven Lamy, Nikita Lomagin, and Heather Exner-Pirot.
The two-day conference on Arctic affairs featured distinguished Arctic scholars from all of the Arctic Council Member States and discussions on Arctic security and governance, maritime activity, human security and the future of Arctic policy.
Affiliated with Boston University since 1985, Michael T. Corgan has also served as Chairman of the Department of Naval Science and Adjunct Professor in the Departments of Political Science and History. He specializes in American government institutions, international security studies, and Icelandic government and politics. He has participated in extensive government service in political and military planning (especially NATO).
