Thank you for your interest in Boston University’s Metropolitan College (MET). Admission to MET degree programs is highly competitive, and each candidate is assessed by the admissions committee based on a range of criteria, including résumé, professional experience, academic transcripts, letters of recommendation and/or references, and a personal statement. In addition, international students must submit proof of English-language proficiency, along with an international student data form and proof that they can fund all tuition, fees, books, and living expenses throughout the duration of their studies. Here are estimated expenses for international students on the Charles River Campus (applies to both graduate and undergraduate students).

Admission decisions are made after a full evaluation of each candidate’s application and supporting materials.

Keep in mind that international students who are planning to study at Boston University’s Metropolitan College (MET) on an F-1 visa will need to maintain full-time status (at least 12 credits). Students studying online do not need to maintain full-time status unless they will be residing in the United States.

To allow for processing time, international applicants requiring student visas must submit completed application materials and International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) forms at least eight weeks prior to the start of the semester.
