The Elie Wiesel Center is expanding its program and courses in antisemitism studies, thanks to generous donations from the Lynn and Gloria Johnson Family Foundation and David Weinstein, Esq., (CAS’72, DGE’70). A course in contemporary antisemitism studies is currently being offered, and the spring class taught by Dr. Dotan Greenvald was featured in our Annual Report. Two new courses, the first entitled “Introduction to Antisemism” and the other “Antisemitism in America,” have been developed and will be offered next year.
In July 2025, Prof. Nancy Harrowitz, Director of the Elie Wiesel Center, and Dr. Matthew Creighton, Associate Director, were able to attend The Institute For The Study of Global Antisemitism & Policy’s (ISGAP) summer institute for curriculum development in Contemporary Antisemitism Studies, hosted at St. Catherine’s College at Oxford University. Together with over 50 scholars from all across the globe, they participated in an intensive two-week program about antisemitism and course development. The sessions of the seminar, led by leading experts in the field, have aided in the development of new, comprehensive courses that explore both the history and current manifestations of antisemitism.
