Location
The Elie Wiesel Center is located at the corner of Silber Way and Bay State Road. The main entrance is located on Silber Way.
Building Accessibility
The Elie Wiesel Center is located in a historic mansion that has not been modified for full ADA accessible at this time. The main entrance on Silber Way has one step and a set of heavy doors. A no-step, ramp entrance is located on Bay State Rd. Please call 617-353-8096 for access through this entrance and other assistance with accessibility. The building has an elevator that is original to the historic building. It has a narrower opening than modern elevators and requires opening a heavy door and metal cage to enter and exit.
Public Transportation
Subway
The MBTA Green Line “B” train passes right through the Boston University Charles River campus on Commonwealth Avenue. Get off at the Blandford St. stop and take Silber Way to Bay State Rd.
From the Blue Line: Go to Government Center and transfer to the Green Line “B” train west/outbound.
From the Red Line: Go to Park Street and transfer to the Green Line “B” train west/outbound.
From the Orange Line: Go to Government Center and transfer to the Green Line “B” train west/outbound.
Bus
The MBTA #57 bus runs along Commonwealth Avenue. If you are traveling eastbound, exit at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Silber Way. If you are traveling westbound, exit at the intersection of Commonwealth Ave. and Blandford St. Cross the street and continue down Silber Way to Bay State Rd.
Parking
It is highly recommended to take public transportation to visit the Elie Wiesel Center and attend events. Parking on campus is extremely limited. If driving, leave plenty of time to look for parking.
There are a limited number of metered parking spots along Bay State Road and Commonwealth Avenue. Boston University has limited parking lots available for guests and visitors.
