Leading Cities From The Left

Boston University faculty, students and staff are invited to attend Leading Cities From The Left, an intimate conversation with Thomas Geisel, Mayor of Dusseldorf, Germany. Co-hosted by the Initiative on Cities (IOC) and the Center for the Study of Europe at the Pardee School of Global Studies, Leading Cities From The Left will examine the challenges facing Mayor Geisel as the first social-democratic Mayor of Dusseldorf in 15 years. Moderated by IOC Director Graham Wilson, the conversation will include a presentation on Dusseldorf as well as Mayor Geisel's goals for his thriving city. Mayor Geisel will be joined on a panel by Kaija Schilde, Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Pardee School. This event will take place on the First Floor of the Pardee School, 121 Bay State Road, from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Lunch will be served.
