FIRE
Session 1 July 22 -26 2004
Using interactive and experiential learning methodology, FIRE will educate and inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
Participants will immerse themselves in the multifaceted world of engineering. Attendees will benefit from a curriculum that seamlessly integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, thereby equipping young minds with the skills and insights necessary to navigate and contribute to the field of engineering effectively.
Workshop Activities
- Think critically like an engineer
- Explore the engineering design process
- Tour the research labs at the Boston University College of Engineering
- Gain hands-on experience programming and flying drones
- Build an Arduino Circuit Board from scratch
- Utilize 3D printing and other advanced engineering tools
- Develop tools for biomedical engineering with applications in disease detection
Tuition: $750 per student
Registration is limited to 20 students per workshop. Credit card payments can be made using AMEX, DISC, MC, or VISA.
Mentorship and Guidance
Experts comprising Boston University students, and professors will guide the participants throughout the workshop.
