Literary Mag Highlights Students’ Many Talents

The mythological chimaera is a beast formed of parts from various animals (snake, lion, goat); CGS’s student literary magazine, The Chimaerid, is likewise composed of works by many kinds of artists. The 2011 issue of The Chimaerid, published this spring, showcases the talents of student poets, essayists, photographers, painters, and illustrators.

Now available online, the 39-page magazine features cover art by Tom Kokoska (CGS’12) and a dedication to the late Robert Emery, a longtime CGS professor and writing coach. Simon Mendes (CGS’11), Casey Nulph (CGS’12), and Colin O’Neill (CGS’12) served as student editors, with assistance from faculty advisors Meg Tyler and Regina Hansen.
