Daniel Montañez

Daniel Montañez is a PhD candidate at the Boston University School of Theology in the theology, ethics, and philosophy track. His research interests include theological and social ethics, global pentecostalism, migration studies, and Latino/a theology. His dissertation focuses on constructing a Christian social ethic of migration from the perspective of Latino pentecostal undocumented pastors. By utilizing qualitative and ethnographic methods, Daniel seeks to center the voices of undocumented pastors within larger narratives of immigration in modern political discourse. Daniel completed a BBA in Business administration at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX, a MDiv at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA, and a STM at the Boston University School of Theology in Boston, MA.
