“Is the World Getting More or Less Religious?”

  • Starts: 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025
  • Ends: 3:30 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025
November 18th, Gina Zurlo (CGCM alumna), from Harvard University will debate with someone from the Pew Institute on the latest data on religiosity around the world. Because of China’s massive population, it makes a big difference how its data is interpreted. Are Chinese people becoming more or less religious? Two experts disagree. Come hear why, and what makes this important. It is a great opportunity to think about research methods and the ways we can differently use data. This event will be held from 2:00-3:30 in the Eilts Room at 121 Bay State Rd (on BU’s campus).
Location:
International Relations Building, Elits Room (154 Bay State Rd)
