January 2024
The New Year is often about new beginnings. In addition to the joy of a new semester, this year begins with a new website. I urge you to look around. You will still find what existed before, but probably in a different format. Our digital projects for instance, no longer appear as a long drop-down menu from a tab, but as tiles that give you a brief description of each project. The calendar of events can still be accessed from the menu, but they also appear at the bottom of this page. Everything is still there, but in a new arrangement.
That is not to say nothing is new. As you look around, you will discover this is more than a new look. We have also added new pieces. We have tried to make it clear how people can get connected to the CGCM, by studying with us as a student, visiting researcher, missionary-in-residence, or by becoming a friend of the Center.
We have also taken the first steps to showcase some of the publications that come directly out of the Center’s research. That will be worth revisiting, as we are only just beginning to reconstruct what has been produced over the last twenty years.
Notice, too, the synergistic partnerships that have emerged. The CGCM has long worked informally with many institutions, but more concrete cooperative ventures have recently emerged. More, it seems, are coming. We can do some things better together.
New things are afoot, and it is exciting. Hopefully, this website will help capture that energy while still delivering the content you expect.
