Autism Intervention Research Opportunity

This exciting new study is investigating changes in expressive language and social communication in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) over the course of the play-based intervention, JASPER! We hope to contribute to improving language and social communication related interventions and measures of change for children with ASD.

Who can participate?

Children 18 months to 5 years of age
Children with little or no spoken language
Confirmed diagnosis of ASD

What does participation involve?

Compensation for your time
Parent Questionnaires
Comprehensive play-based and behavioral assessments
10 weeks of intervention
Free parking and flexible visit times
Free childcare for siblings

What is JASPER?

JASPER (Joint Attention Symbolic Play Engagement Regulation) is an intervention that targets the foundations of social communication (joint attention, imitation, and play) and uses naturalistic developmental and behavioral strategies to increase the rate and complexity of social communication.
