Who is Chris?
Chris Capaccio (CAS ‘22) is a native New Yorker. He considers himself a car enthusiast and loves music. Chris can play three instruments, including the piano and guitar. A scholarship to BU gave Chris the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity he needed to attend his dream school on an urban campus.
What is he up to now?
Chris is a psychology major on the pre-dental track in the College of Arts and Sciences. During his time at BU, Chris has found unique ways to pursue his passions outside the classroom. Chris is proud of his involvement in the Global House Living-Learning community, a specialty housing experience for students who are passionate about languages and cultures. He values learning about different cultures and is trying to reach conversational fluency in Italian. Chris has also found community through extracurricular activities like BU on Broadway, where he music-directed the production of Company last year.
What’s next?
After he graduates next year, Chris plans to attend dental school to pursue his dreams of becoming a dentist. Without the help of a scholarship, Chris says, he would not have attended his dream school, found his community, or learned to always take initiative.
“I would give [the donors] a firm handshake, look them dead in the eyes, and genuinely thank them for giving me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that would not have been possible if it weren’t for them.”
