Research

Boston University has many major research strengths in biomaterials, electronic and photonic materials, materials for energy and environment, and nanomaterials.  These areas of research span multiple departments and colleges and are truly cross-cutting.  Materials faculty have demonstrated national and international leadership, attract significant research funding from federal and state governments, and are making an impact on industry.  In addition to research expertise, BU has strong and unique research facilities that reside in individual investigator labs.
