  • Ends: 9:00 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2015
With this year marking the twentieth anniversary of the Israeli Prime Minister’s assassination, the Center has assembled a special group of people to commemorate this historic event and consider the changes for peace in the Middle East today. Our program includes an exclusive video message from President Bill Clinton, a lecture by Efraim Inbar, Director of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar Ilan University and currently Israel Studies Visiting Professor of Political Science at Boston University, and a panel discussion moderated by WBUR/NPR host of On Point, Tom Ashbrook. Panelists include Andy Bacevich (Professor and Chair emeritus of International Relations at BU), Susannah Heschel (Elie Black Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College), David Ellenson (Director, Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University), and Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby. We will also have a word of welcome from the Israeli Consul General Yehudah Yaakov. The Yitzhak Rabin Lecture Series at Boston University is generously supported by Mr. Jonathan Krivine (CAS ’72). The event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception. Security procedures will require inspection of all bags.
