IS&T offers basic support and management for many types of networked and desktop printers. We will troubleshoot problems, resolve what we can, and make recommendations for follow-up service with contract service providers if necessary. For networked printers we provide a print server providing centralized management, reporting and access controls.
Benefits
Besides resolving minor printing problems, such as paper jams and low-toner conditions, we can also help with networking issues such as protecting a printer from outside attempts to print. On printers with the appropriate feature set, we will help define mailboxes and set up secure printing. Utilizing the managed print server (IST-UPRINT) enables you to lock down printing to specified departments. In addition our print server has PaperCut print management software installed which allows reporting usage on a per printer or a per user basis.
