Graduate Assistant for Programming - Now Hiring
Student Wellbeing, a campus-wide initiative charged with creating a holistic, integrated, and shared approach to wellbeing on all of BU’s campuses, is hiring Graduate Assistants for the 2025-2026 academic year. The position will start August 18, 2025 and end May 8, 2026. The position is a hybrid of remote and in-person work and will also require some evening or weekend programming availability, working 10-15 hours per week.
The Graduate Assistant for Programming will work with the team at Student Wellbeing to develop, execute and facilitate workshops, programs, and special events that promote wellbeing as a driver of student access across the Charles River, Medical and Fenway campuses. The GA will also serve as a Wellbeing Navigator, interacting with other students to serve as a peer resource for navigating wellbeing resources and learning opportunities at BU. This will afford the GA the opportunity to promote existing wellbeing resources at BU that support our student community.
Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable speaking to large groups, and passionate about student affairs trends and campus climate issues, particularly those involving holistic wellbeing. Students must be enrolled in a graduate program at BU in the social sciences, higher education or public health.
Qualifications:
- Must have night and weekend availability for workshops and events
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong presentation and public speaking skills
Position expectations:
- Assist Student Wellbeing with creation and execution of programming and special events
- Facilitate virtual, in-person or hybrid workshops and programming to different student audiences independently or in partnership with professional staff
- Other duties as assigned

Social Media Content Creator
Student Wellbeing has hired one Social Media Content Creator for the 2025-2026 academic year. Working with the Director, Strategy, Marketing and Communications, position will help develop and help manage Student Wellbeing’s social media content. This is an opportunity for a self-directed student to be part of the development of a growing department on campus focused on supporting student wellbeing in a holistic way. This is a hybrid remote/in person position of approx. 8 hours per week.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Expanding social media presence and managing content/calendar
- Curating, creating, writing, producing, designing, scheduling content: video, photo, written, graphic
- Serve as Student Wellbeing person-on-the-street for interviews and soliciting student content
- Assisting with Headspace social content and promotions
- Generating and managing ideas for student outreach and communications
- Representing Student Wellbeing at campus events
Minimum Qualifications:
- Work experience with graphic design, social media, and/or promotions required
- Previous coursework in social media, design, public relations, advertising, marketing and/or communications preferred
- Exceptional communication skills (writing, editing, public speaking) and careful attention to detail required
- A portfolio of creative work is required for interview process
- Experience with photography, videography
- Proficiency and experience with Canva and social media management (Hootsuite)
- Must be extremely well organized, able to manage complicated projects, and available to work on time sensitive projects
- Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated, creative, detail and deadline oriented

Student Wellbeing has hired one Graphic Designer for the 2025-2026 academic year. Working with the Director, Strategy, Marketing and Communications, position will help develop and manage campus outreach via graphic design and production. This is an opportunity for a self-directed student to be part of the development of a growing department on campus focused on supporting student wellbeing in a holistic way. This is a hybrid remote/in person position of approx. 8 hours per week.

- Designing promotions for new programming and updating promotions for existing programming
- Reviewing and updating website
- Generating and managing ideas for student outreach and communications
- Representing Student Wellbeing at campus events

- Work experience with graphic design, social media, and/or promotions required
- Previous coursework in social media, design, public relations, advertising, marketing and/or communications preferred
- Exceptional communication skills (writing, editing, public speaking) and careful attention to detail required

BU Food Pantry Operations Assistant - Now Hiring for Summer 2025
Are you a current undergraduate or graduate student interested in developing administrative skills all in service of a meaningful mission? Then apply to work as a Student Wellbeing Food Pantry Operations Assistant! Great opportunity to make a difference in your community! Seeking a friendly and motivated student to join Student Wellbeing at the BU Food Pantry. The student will be responsible for stocking, packaging, tracking and distributing food orders placed by student pantry users. Other administrative tasks such as inventory management and communication with pantry users will also be required. Student must be highly organized and reliable, available to work Summer 1 and Summer 2 terms. Time commitment: 11-12 hours/week. Apply via Student Employment.
