Excellence > Perfection: Perfectionism and Self Compassion

This workshop will help you become more aware of how perfectionist thinking may be impacting you, and how to use the skill of self-compassion to decrease the impact of perfectionist thinking to help you thrive, without compromising excellence!

This workshop is a collaboration with the Newbury Center and is geared towards first-gen students. The workshop will be offered twice: once in person and once on Zoom.

Dr. Carrie Landa on “The Quadcast”

In this episode of "The Quadcast," Big Picture Strategies for College Student Wellbeing, Dr. Carrie Landa, Boston University's new Executive Director of Student Wellbeing, talks about factors that contribute to student wellness and strategic initiatives colleges and universities can engage in to increase social belonging.

Landa's expertise in psychology lends itself to teaching students resilience, such as CBT and DBT skills, to help them navigate with day-to-day events while also meeting students where they are when it comes to equity issues.

Goodwill Not Landfill – Through Move Out

Did you know that donating your gently used belongings promotes your wellbeing? It supports your environmental, social and mental wellbeing.

Since 2009, BU students have saved 754 tons of materials from landfills and incinerators by donating to Goodwill during move out.

Student Wellbeing is excited to partner with BU Sustainability, Residence Life and Goodwill Industries to offer Goodwill Not Landfill through move out.
