Stress ReLeaf: Working with Tea for Calm & Focus Returns for Fall 2023
This Student Wellbeing initiative uses tea as a catalyst for mindfulness. Part education/part relaxation, this weekly workshop explores the ancient practice of “gong fu cha” – also known as “making tea with skill” – and highlights various types of single-origin teas, teaware, tea terroir, tea producers, brewing techniques, and the science behind the leaf.
Each session will be capped at 10 attendees to help foster a space that focuses on the power and simplicity of the present moment, as well as to allow for more hands-on brewing engagement.
Workshop offered Mondays, from 4-5 pm, beginning September 18, at the Howard Thurman Center, 808 Commonwealth Avenue. Register for a session. If this week’s session is full, keep checking back as registration is posted on a weekly basis.
