Orientation 2023 to Feature Student Wellbeing Pop-Ups

Student Wellbeing is delighted to partner with Orientation this summer to provide our incoming Terriers a glimpse into what wellbeing means at Boston University. As part of orientation, we will be hosting two pop-up experiences – The Zen Zone and the Play Station – along with other great programming!

Students looking to catch a quiet moment away from the hustle and bustle of Orientation can visit the Zen Zone in the GSU. This pop-up experience invites students to relax their mind, take a deep breath, and gather their thoughts before getting back to learning about BU. They’ll get to “put their feet up” and enjoy a moment in our colorful and ultra-comfortable inflatable hammocks. Also, they’ll have opportunities to center themselves and live in the present moment through content provided by Headspace and a touch of aromatherapy.

The Play Station, located in West Campus’s Rich Hall, invites students to enjoy a friendly game of Connect Four, Jenga, Bananagrams, or Checkers to forge new connections or simply have a laugh!  This station will be available during Terrier’s Night Out, along with many other great event sponsored by partners across campus. What better way to break the ice and promote social wellbeing than through play and friendly competition?

These pop-up stations, and more, are part of Student Wellbeing’s signature event, The Wellbeing Experience. Be sure to follow us on Instagram (@bu_wellbeing) to find out when and where The Wellbeing Experience will take place on campus this fall!
