NIH salary cap increases to $189,600
On March 7, 2018, NIH issued Guidance on Salary Limitations for Grants, Cooperative Agreements FY 2018 (NOT-OD-18-137). The Executive Level II salary has increased from $187,000 to $189,600 effective January 7, 2018.
The new salary cap may be used for budgeting purposes effective January 7, 2018. If adequate funds are available in active awards that were issued in those years restricted to Executive Level II, and if the salary cap increase is consistent with the institutional base salary, grantees may rebudget to accommodate the current Executive Level II salary level. However, no additional funds will be provided to these grant awards.
