UPDATE on Issue with CRC UEI Number in NIH ASSIST and eRA Commons

As an UPDATE to the Blog post issued yesterday regarding issues with the CRC UEI number, we have learned that the eRA system reverted our UEI to the incorrect version overnight.   We are being told that the issue will be resolved no later than tomorrow (Friday) evening, thus there is a possibility that the UEI could again revert to an incorrect number during the overnight hours.  In the meantime, the CRC UEI has been corrected again and it will be rechecked and reset by eRA tomorrow morning should it revert to an incorrect number again.

For application packages already created, verify that your application includes the correct CRC UEI which is THL6A6JLE1S7 otherwise you will encounter a problem when you attempt to validate before submission.  If the application has been populated with an incorrect UEI it will need to be re-initiated using the correct UEI.  If you are creating a new application package, verify that your application is populating with the correct CRC UEI.  The UEI will be visible on the R&R Cover Page of the application.
