OBJECTIVES:

This announcement is for submissions related to innovation in GBV prevention and response and in support of the Safe from the Start initiative. PRM seeks innovation proposals that advance GBV programming and practice at the field level, with a particular focus on initiatives and efforts that improve quality and accessibility of services for women, girls, and survivors of GBV. In addition, PRM seeks Safe from the Start submissions that advance institutional policies and standards to strengthen internal and system-wide commitments to gender equality in conflict-affected humanitarian settings, with a particular focus on accountability mechanisms within the international humanitarian architecture for prioritizing and strengthening GBV prevention and response in emergencies. PRM will prioritize submissions that contribute to a broader evidence-base and build upon current standards to document good approaches or practice for the wider humanitarian community and submissions that promote inter-agency and inter-sectoral leadership and improve coordination at global and field levels. Applicants should refer to the IASC’s Guidelines for Gender-based Violence Interventions for Humanitarian Settings, as applicable. Because of PRM’s mandate to provide protection, assistance, and sustainable solutions for refugees and victims of conflict, PRM will consider funding only those projects that include a target beneficiary base of at least 50 percent refugees.
