OBJECTIVES:

The purpose of the Agilent Early Career Professor Award is to:

  1. Promote and encourage excellent research enabling measurements of importance to Agilent Technologies and the world
  2. Establish strong collaborative relationships between Agilent researchers and leading professors early in their career
  3. Build the prominence of Agilent as a sponsor of university research

 

Selection Criteria

  1. Significant original research contributions enabling measurements of importance to Agilent Technologies and the world
  2. Outstanding potential for future research
  3. Alignment with the 2020 Focus: Contributions to the development of breakthrough live cell analysis technologies for measuring cellular responses to chemical/pharmaceutical treatments and genetic manipulations, including those that could advance cell-based therapies.
  4. Professor completion of Ph.D. (or completion of residency for M.D. or M.D. – Ph.D.) no earlier than January 2010.

 

 

FUNDING INFORMATION: $100,000 over 2 years

 

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:

Professor completion of Ph.D. (or completion of residency for M.D. or M.D. – Ph.D.) no earlier than January 2010

 

The nomination form requires contact information, a summary of the nominee’s qualifications and future directions (up to 1000 words), a nomination letter (up to 500 words) and a CV. Self-nominations are encouraged. Please do not include any proprietary information.

 

INTERNAL SELECTION PROCESS:

Interested investigators should submit the following materials via InfoReady Review by DATE: 2/3/20

  • Questions outlined in InfoReady Review application;
  • A brief statement (up to 2 pages) about the proposed nominee describing their scientific achievements to date;
  • Up-to-date CV or biosketch for the proposed nominee.

 

A faculty committee drawn from both campuses will review internal proposals and select nominees.
