Cinematheque: An Evening with Andrew Kightlinger

Born and raised in Madagascar, later living in South Dakota, Andrew Boodhoo Kightlinger studied filmmaking at Boston University before making the feature films “Lost on a Mountain in Maine” for producer Sylvester Stallone and “Tater Tot & Patton” starring fellow BU alum Jessica Rothe. He’s also the recipient of the Grand Prize for Screenwriting at Slamdance. Andrew’s multi-cultural origins have fueled a prolific genre-fluid approach to storytelling, a personal ethos most recently explored in the short dance film “Becoming”, which he directed in collaboration with The Getty Center and Sony.
