John O. Adebayo
John O. Adebayo (Jòhánù Adébáyọ̀) is a Yorùbá lecturer at the Boston University African Language Program. John has taught Yorùbá language and culture at the African Language Program (ALP), Department of African and African American Studies, Harvard University since Fall 2019. He taught all levels of Yorùbá language but currently teaches Intermediate and Advanced Yorùbá classes.
In 2021, John attended the National African Language Resource Center (NALRC) Summer Institute Training to enhance his teaching skills, and completed a training in: Using Standards-Based and Thematically Organized Backward Curriculum Design with Performance Assessment in the three Modes of Communication; Integrating Language, Culture, and Content in LCTL classrooms; and Creating a Learner-Centered Classroom.
John is a passionate teacher who takes pleasure in teaching Yorùbá language and culture to his students. John is married to his love Elizabeth, and they have 3 children, 2 boys and a girl – his princess.
