Pardee School Tutoring Program
The Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies has partnered with the College of Arts and Sciences Writing Program to provide students the opportunity to visit with an undergraduate peer writing tutor. Our Pardee School Tutors are here to help with writing assignments from all International Relations courses, and are available for anyone enrolled in them, not just majors and minors.
We encourage students to share the assignment prompt with the writing tutor to ensure clarity about the specific writing issues or subject knowledge for which they need assistance.
Peer Tutoring Schedule
Tuesdays, 2:30-4:30pm, 154 Bay State Road, Room 406A
Wednesdays, 11:30-1pm, remote
Meet our Tutors

Nadja Lopez Schmaeing
I’m a senior at Boston University majoring in Economics and International Relations with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I grew up between Germany and Spain, and while English wasn’t my first language, I’ve worked hard on my writing to the point where what used to be my biggest challenge has become one of my biggest strengths in such a writing-intensive field. Outside of academics, I love staying active, whether that’s SoulCycle, Pilates, or long walks. I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my friends or with my dog, Nala.
