Pardee School Tutoring Program
The Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies has partnered with the College of Arts and Sciences Writing Program to provide students the opportunity to visit with an undergraduate peer writing tutor. Our Pardee School Tutors are here to help with writing assignments from all International Relations courses, and are available for anyone enrolled in them, not just majors and minors.
We encourage students to share the assignment prompt with the writing tutor to ensure clarity about the specific writing issues or subject knowledge for which they need assistance.

Meet our Tutors
Jack Martin
Senior double majoring in international relations and economics with a minor in the Core Curriculum. I’m currently planning on attending law school after graduating BU. Outside of academics, I currently work as a course assistant for classes in the Core Natural Science program and on a research project on radicalization with Professor Jessica Stern. I am excited to help with writing in the international relations field, and I hope to be able to engage in insightful conversations about topics I don’t have deep knowledge on.
Banu Mammadli
Senior at Boston University with a major in International Relations on the Middle East/Africa and International Systems and World Order Tracks, as well as a minor in Public Health. I’m originally from Azerbaijan but moved to Prague when I was five and grew up there before coming to the U.S. for college. On campus, I’ve been involved as an RA, an Office Assistant, and a Research Assistant, in addition to taking on other internships and work in the international relations, policy, and law sectors. I love thrifting, listening to music, rewatching comfort movies/shows, and talking about how I need a guard cat to protect me from Boston rats. I’ve spoken six languages throughout my life and lived in three countries thus far, so something I’m most excited to do as a Pardee tutor is use my own learned experiences to improve your writing and understanding more naturally as a peer who has been through it herself!
