10:00 AM Social Impact Lab: Equity in Public Health (2-Day Retreat) Day 1
This 2-day, retreat-style experience will give you the opportunity to dive deep into the issue of equitable access to modes of public health across town lines. Perfect for graduate students or anyone serious about applying entrepreneurial skills to solve a social issue, you'll collaborate with peers to develop an idea to solve the problem. Day 1: Saturday, November 12, 10:00 - 4:00pm Our first day will kick off with a provided breakfast and an introduction to the problem as we all get to know each other. In the afternoon, we'll hear from a panel of extraordinary experts in the field and get to ask questions about our ideas.

Day 2: Sunday, November 13, 12:00pm – 4:00pm On our second and final day, we'll take everything we learned from the day before and work in groups to refine our ideas. At the end of the day, we'll informally share out and get feedback from the group. Lunch will be provided.

12:30 PM Crafting Your Story & Other Public Speaking Techniques
Are you looking to strengthen your public speaking and story telling skills? Learn how to craft a story to captivate your audience! Becoming a strong orator takes practice- join us on November 15th to develop your personalized "public speaking workout plan." You will learn how to tell your story whether you are pitching your idea for a class assignment or job interview!

5:00 PM The Art of Not Giving Up: Building Entrepreneurial Resiliency
Learn the art of not giving up and building resiliency from the trailblazing entrepreneur Malia Lazu (CEO, The Lazu Group). This dinner discussion will be hosted by Innovate@BU's Innovator-in-Residence Jonathan Allen and includes food and refreshments.

12:00 PM Innovation Pathway Lunch and Advancement Ceremony
Join us to celebrate the Innovation Pathway teams who have recently joined or advanced on the Innovation Pathway! Here's the agenda: 12:00 -- lunch will be served in the main space of the BUild Lab 12:15 -- the Program Director for Business Ventures will welcome everyone and introduce the teams who have recently advanced on the pathway; each team will get to pin a poster of their team on the wall 12:30 onward -- enjoy lunch!

The Innovation Pathway (IP) Orientation is a required opportunity for all students and teams who are beginning the program. During orientation, you'll learn about the program and its resources, and meet the staff here to help you along the way!

And if all that thinking about food has got you hungry, dig into the free dinner while you get a primer on prototyping. Please note that this event is part of the Innovation Pathway Academy and is open exclusively to IP teams.
