Enlight Program - 2022

About the Program

In this 10-week incubator, you’ll spend the summer coming up with your own social venture or nonprofit organization while gaining practical business skills through an internship with a local nonprofit or social benefit organization. While the internships must be unpaid by the host organization, you will be given a $10,000 stipend. Note that this program does not provide housing.

You’ll work 9:00 am-5:00 pm three days per week at their host organizations and spend two days per week at the IDG Capital Student Innovation Center, where you’ll develop the leadership and technical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and creative agility needed to solve today’s most pressing social and environmental problems.

Timeline:

  • Application Closes: February 18, 2024
  • Interns Placed or Approved by: April 1
  • Program Dates: June 3—August 9

The two types of internships

  1. Hosted internships take place at organizations already identified by Innovate@BU (TBD).
  2. Self-procured internships are not identified in advance by Innovate@BU. Students must find a local Boston nonprofit or social benefit organization that would be willing to host them.

Both types of internships will participate in the same 10-week program generously sponsored by the Enlight Foundation.
