Summer Accelerator

About the Program 

The Summer Accelerator is a 10-week intensive program that guides BU students and class of 2023 alumni as they build an early-stage venture. The program provides a stipend of up to $10,000 so that participants can work on their venture full-time while accessing mentorship, entrepreneurship education, and more.

From workshops twice a week to mentorship with leading innovators to the final presentation in front of a panel of investors and community members, you won’t believe how much you’ll learn in one summer.

Eligibility

We are looking for entrepreneurs who are coachable, committed, available for the entire program, and open to new ideas. On top of that:

    • At least one member on your team is a BU student or recent alumni
    • At least two members are committed to working on the idea full-time (40+ hours/week) in person at the BUild Lab during the duration of the program 

    Application Process

    The application happens in two parts: 1) Early Decision Application, and 2) Regular Decision Application

    Early Decision Application (December 11 – January 25, 2024)

    Only teams that participate in the Innovation Pathway, Idea Incubator, or First-Year Innovation Fellowship are eligible to apply during the early decision period.

    After all of the Early Decision applications have been reviewed, a select number of teams will be invited to an interview in late January or early February. Teams that do not receive an invitation may be invited to interview again during the regular decision period so that we can learn more about you and your team.

    Regular Decision Application (January 25 – February 22, 2024)

    If you do not participate in the above programs but meet the overall program eligibility criteria, you are invited to apply during this time.

    After all of the Regular Decision applications have been reviewed, a select number of teams will be invited to an interview the week of March 13.
