CHIPS at BU – Image Sensing
Semiconductor technologies for image sensing
What we do: Design, develop, and apply novel imaging devices and systems that combine semiconductor image-sensing technology with recent advances in materials engineering for light detection, nanophotonics for image acquisition, and machine learning for information retrieval.
Why it matters: We are creating new imaging capabilities that can address increasingly demanding application needs for biomedical microscopy, surveillance, autonomous navigation and, more broadly, machine vision.
